funeral broadcast at celtic park

The audio from Tommy Burns' funeral today, Tuesday, May 20 will be broadcast live back to the outside of Celtic Park and will be heard on giant speakers around the car park and outside the main entrance.

The space limitations of St Mary's Church in the Calton are such that very few Celtic supporters will be able to hear the Requiem Mass. The decision to broadcast the sound from the service back to the ground means that more people will be able to participate.

And those supporters and friends can be in place when the funeral cortege returns to the park between the church and Linn Cemetery at around 1.45pm on Tuesday. The Requiem Mass for Tommy begins at 12noon.
